Animation Process: Athletes were mo-capped and shot from every angle. The reference footage was then given to the animators to interpret freely and exaggerate athletes movements and perspective. Live action sets were recreated digitally in Maya. All 2D character animation and effects animation was created traditionally, frame by frame on two’s and one’s in Flash CS3
Music: soundscape music + sounddesign
The animation and live action video flow together seamlessly in this video that I had to give it a plug.
